Nude/Erotic Paintings

Erotic and nude paintings have been around for centuries, often causing controversy. Some people see them as beautiful works of art, while others find them offensive. Despite the differing opinions, these paintings continue to be created and admired by many. Nude sculptures and paintings have been found in as early as cave paintings to the Bronze Age sites in India (1100-800 BC) and other Eastern cultures and continue to the Renaissance period with nude sculptures like David by Michaelangelo while the 20th century explored a lot of the nuances and questions of who was painting & who is painted that went into nude art. A lot of artists such as MF Husain have courted controversies due to their nude depictions.
