For me abstraction is creativity. From when I was a child, my life was entwined with mother nature. Growing up amidst the green, the way nature plays with light and shade and how beautiful scenes rise from this graceful hide and seek has always left me mesmerized. My attempt has always been to capture moods, tones and fluidity of nature into melodies of paintings. My paintings are like a ballet of colours you can memorize and carry home to your dreams. Being a realist I don’t like copying nature, but I present the same through my perspective. Although my forms are abstract, the objects are real.
Dinkar Jadhav hails from a remote village, Jadhavwadi in Maharashtra. He earned his GD (art and painting) and ATD from Abhinav Kala Mahvidyalaya, Pune. Over the years he has been a part of over 20 group shows and solo shows. He has also participated in various art shows in the country. Dinkar has been awarded and recognized by prestigious organizations such as the Bombay Art Society and Art Society of India. His paintings have found their way to collections not only across the country, but also in countries like Germany, Singapore and many more. He is currently a resident of Pune and continues his work as an artist. As a college student, he was greatly inspired by JMW Turner, the master of landscape painting. Mr. Jadhav’s works are greatly inspired by Turner even to this date. His work depicts in wonderful tones and colours, the innumerable aspects of nature and all that she embodies. His greater guru has been nature; he paints patches of nature reflected in all that composes this world. Abstract and yet real, he has the ability to comfortably mix the two and present them with absolute ease.
