In Karl’s words, “The past year and a half my concerns have been the changing perspectives of governance around the world and the commodification of everything in nature and the disrespect towards that which is not understood or otherwise. Metaphors and satire are the core markers used to express it within my work ‘On the Roll’”. Through his work, he is creating a visualized imagery added with humor which represents his personal concerns which are deeply universal.
The bright and vivid colors used in the composition along with the complex texture to define and characterize each form not only is visually appealing but additionally enhance the complex visual metaphors.
Expressiveness being the most salient feature of Karl’s sculptures makings, however 'On the Roll' demands curiosity from the viewer- the various elements of the composition catches the viewers attention and makes them question what is presented to/in front of them. As Karl puts it, “everything is manufactured only if there is commercial viability or else it ceases to exist”.
Showcasing the unique style of an artist in the form of a reproduction comes with a huge responsibility. And we take that seriously. Each reproduction is a museum quality giclée print on high quality canvas that captures the original work in all its essence.
The combination of pure cotton canvas, use of original dye inks that leave an indelible print and a fine finish of lacquer for longevity makes our signature reproductions irresistible for empty walls.
We have a few tips to take good care of your favourite art on the walls -
- Make sure that there are no leakages from the roof or sprinklers that set off without any warning in your living room.
- Show some love for your art and mildly dust it at least once a week. We recommend you use a dry soft cloth/ soft bristled brush to clear the dust. If necessary, follow-it up with a very light moist cloth to mildly clean the surface of the work.
- We would love to have your child appreciate art and be inspired to be an artist too. But please don't encourage them to indulge in doodling on the work. :)
