About Umesh Patil

Born on 23rd January 1981

Paintings are a reflection of the creator’s inner depths. In the pandemonium of life, we aim our best to gain knowledge of our surroundings. Meanwhile, we completely abandon the need to acknowledge our internal side. Through painting an artist puts forward the internal ‘tamasha’ of his/her soul. Moreover, I believe, every painting depicts the journey of the canvas which constitutes of colours, shapes, textures and shades. Working in the abstract genre, I don’t really know where I begin and where I am headed; until that one moment that takes possession of me and urges me to stop; stand back and rejoice in my creation. My journey of painting defines the magical process of life which offers infinite opportunities in every approaching moment.

Umesh is an Indian artist born in Thane, Maharashtra. He is a painter holding a degree in Graphic Design Art from Raheja School of Art and Art Teacher Diploma from Vasai Vikasini College, Maharashtra. Patil has garnered appreciation from many art collectors and other contemporary artist by displaying his dexterity with the paintbrush at various solo and group shows in Maharashtra. Umesh has vented his emotions in the confident strokes of the palette knife and merged his wandering musings through gentle swishes of the roller.Some of his very well received shows were held at Jehangir Art Gallery, India Art Entrance gallery, Coomarswamy Hall, Indian Oil Exhibition in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India.
