About Santana Gohain

Born in 1969. Gohain studied BFA in Print Making got First Class with Distinction, from Govt. College of Art and Crafts, Assam. Post Diploma in Print Making, First Class, Faculty of Fine Arts, M.S. University Baroda. Having attended workshops in print making with Spanish artist Joaquin Capa and in sculpture with Prof. Jean-Louis Raymond. Her work has been exhibited internationally.

Gohain has participated in numerous solo and group shows in India and abroad. She has been awarded with Junior Fellowship from the Ministry of Human Resource Development, New Delhi (1999-2001). Also, been honored with the International Print Biennale Award in Sarcelles, France (2007).

Currently lives in Baroda, India.
