About Yashwant Deshmukh

Born in 1963, Akola, Maharashtra. Deshmukh completed his Bachelor of Fine Arts in painting from Sir J. J. School of art, Mumbai. He has been honored with Sixth Bharat Bhawan Indian Contemporary Art Biennial’s Grand prize, Bhopal in 1996 and Bendre-Husain scholarship award, Mumbai in 1993.

Yashwant has been invited to participate in ‘seven for seven’ an exhibition of paintings by seven international artists, sponsored by Gallery – 7, Hong Kong (1994). He has displayed his works in various prestigious art exhibitions across India.

Invited to participate in ‘JJ 80’S – a juncture of relevance and reverence’ held at Sir JJ School of Art, Organized by Arka Art Trust, Mumbai (2014).

Yashwant lives and works in Mumbai, India.
