About Rajesh R V

Born on 17th May 1994

Art is subjective, whether looked at from the perspective of the creator or the connoisseur. My own belief about the art I create stems from personal instincts about aesthetics, scale, form, and pattern, but superseding all of these is my own insight into life and its meaning. I visualise images that represent universal behavior and realities, but the acceptance or not of their common meaning is solely my decision, and thus what is finally achieved with my work is the reflection of my private perceptions of my world. What follows is a presentation of some of my works. They may seem controversial or not, simplistic, or complex, bold, or timid, but they are my thoughts drawn on paper or canvas. My works are not merely random creations but result from hours of contemplation married to exhaustive topical research. The effects I achieve are more than paint, they are multi-dimensional images with depths both hidden and obvious. My works aim not just to put forth before an audience, but to ask questions of it, to invite its criticism, and possibly ire and admiration in equal measure. My subjects are universal. I am humble enough to absorb the wisdom of others, be it from movies, books, comics, or mythology. Knowledge is infinite, the learning of it never ending.
