Stylistically, Avi's paintings have a unique treatment of strong colors blended with finely defined brushstrokes. The soft and subtle highlights are the characteristic features of his work. Composing his painting with an oval face has become a central feature of his paintings where the silent-straight expressions has spoken the mind of the artist. The entire dialogue has been carried by the eyes that have mutely spoken the unsaid hidden thoughts. Tempera as a medium has majorly occupied Avi's attention. Other than this, he also worked with acrylics, watercolors & inks with hand-made papers as the base. Depiction of themes like Christ, Adam, Eve, David demonstrates some kind of inclination towards Old Testament. His paintings take us back to the stain glass window paintings of the 13th century Gothic era.
