About Manjunath Wali
In his series of Once Upon a Time, Manjunath Wali recreates the rustic rural sights of Badami and Hampi set against solid colours of reds, blues, yellows and even a dull charcoal grey. He may have decided not to have too many people in his works reflecting his memories of solitary strolls. However, the artist takes creative liberty to look back at the past with warmth; slow mornings and unhurried conversations.
