Artflute presents the third edition of ‘A Vision of the Feminine - Edition III’, an online exhibition that intends to initiate a dialogue to appreciate a complex and nuanced idea of femininity through contemporary art.

In a world that often values masculine traits over feminine ones, embodying femininity can be a radical act of self-love and resistance. It is about celebrating the full spectrum of human expression and finding empowerment in vulnerability and connection.

This year's edition of the show features the works of ten artists who demonstrate how embodying femininity can be reflected in the way one speaks, moves, and interacts with the world through their artistic explorations. We are introducing, for the first time, Shaheen Peer's self-portraits exploring the theme of intimacy, Subhasmita Ghadei capturing a sense of belongingness and Ganga Nayaranan's work that delves into the intergenerational aspects of femininity. Among the familiar voices, we are delighted to bring back Basuki Dasgupta's art that embodies silent grandeur. Laxman Aelay's work that spotlights the power of many, while Seema Kohli's art embodies transcendence. Suruchi Jamkar captures the theme of wilderness, and Nilisha Phad's art carries deep rumination. Srinia Chowdhury brings a touch of satire to her work, while Madalasa by Saurabh showcases innocence.

Curated by Padmaja Nagarur (Co-Founder, Artflute) Bavisha Varigonda, a young passionate curator, the third edition of the show brings together familiar and new voices, hoping to create a space for greater diversity and inclusivity.
