About the Work

A reminisce of a railway platform from my memory archives. The simplicity of a small town railway station, boasting of a small book-stall, a tea stall with steam puffing out of the dented metal kettle....The grandeur of the that burly, enormous, titanic engine huffing and puffing its way onto the wet platform with a long tail of red bogies, obediently following its leader. The low platforms made the machine appear overly powerful and left you in awe! The excitement of a long journey ahead with so much to see on the way, the halts, the rhythmic sound of the tracks, and to see someone after long at the end of the journey...all these thoughts run through your mind and stimulate the strings of romance, while you wait for the train and watch occasional hawkers and 'coolies' move across on the platform...the serenity..the absence of public address system... I have always remembered it as mystically romantic. When the train arrived, boarders waited for the passengers to unboard first, even helping them in doing so, unlike in present times when people do not think, forget twice even once, before pushing around young & old, anyone in their way, the devil showing on their face, in pursuit of their sole, primary motive, a question of life and death - To Board the train... a race to acquire the 'reserved berth' (arre bhai reserved hai to chinta kyon?!)

Showcasing the unique style of an artist in the form of a reproduction comes with a huge responsibility. And we take that seriously. Each reproduction is a museum quality giclée print on high quality canvas that captures the original work in all its essence.

The combination of pure cotton canvas, use of original dye inks that leave an indelible print and a fine finish of lacquer for longevity makes our signature reproductions irresistible for empty walls.

We have a few tips to take good care of your favourite art on the walls -

- Make sure that there are no leakages from the roof or sprinklers that set off without any warning in your living room.

- Show some love for your art and mildly dust it at least once a week. We recommend you use a dry soft cloth/ soft bristled brush to clear the dust. If necessary, follow-it up with a very light moist cloth to mildly clean the surface of the work.

- We would love to have your child appreciate art and be inspired to be an artist too. But please don't encourage them to indulge in doodling on the work. :)
