Born on 1st January 1970
“Great things are done by a series of small things brought together” said Van Gogh and that is what I have tried to achieve throughout my journey so far. Not limiting myself to a set pattern, I love to play with colors and mediums and in the process express my vision that comes from the soul. My style and use of colors in abstract form is pure and vibrant with a view to generate similar emotions on the viewer which I experienced while creating that piece of art.
It was in the year 2010 that while packing one of my paintings, I got fascinated by the ridges and texture of the corrugated sheet. A strong desire to create something unique and outstanding gave me the energy to experiment with the medium and explore the many ways in which it can be used creatively. After working on the medium for four years, I developed a series of artworks which first displayed at a solo show in Chandigarh, India. The series received tremendous response from art critics and media. Since then, I have showcased my creations at six solo and four group shows so far.
Each artwork is created by putting together about 50 to 150 pieces of cardboard pieces to form a collage and the sculptures / 3D assemblage have several components of corrugated cardboard.
