When I paint, I seek to paint the inner mystic soul inside me and varnish it with the rouge of life. How a sketch comes alive when bathed into soft colours and shadows, is a secret I am addicted to. The human figures I draw are not merely figures that resemble humans. Deeply engrossed into the beauty of life, they come alive with colours; vibrant yet soothing, restive yet calm. My creations often dip into the thirst of eternal endurance and are obsessed with the very idea of timelessness. I strive to synchronize art with the rhythm of life. I hope my paintings colour up the vision of my viewers too.
Pallavi Walunj, originally from Rajasthan, likes to depict human figures in a simple yet artistic manner. She earned her diploma in Art Education from Chitrakala Mahavidyalaya, Nasik and her first solo exhibition, Shri Ganesh, was held at Sinnar. Apart from two more solo exhibitions, Pallavi has been a part of over 15 group exhibitions across the country, including Jaipur, Udaipur, Delhi, Chennai, Hyderabad, Trivandrum and Himachal Pradesh. Her paintings have been exhibited at the very prestigious Lalit Kala Akademy in Delhi. Pallavi is appreciated for her figures whose eyes are made up of bright yet sober colours. Her ability to give a depth to a simple yet expressive figure through small detailing of shades and textures is something she's admired for.
