Born on 18th August 1992

My compositions are an expression of the soul, “akra” and therefore life itself. Through my paintings I try and relieve all that this life and world encompasses, things that might seem so minute and yet are so impactful. Monuments, dancers and so many other aspects of our lives find their way onto my canvas. My attempt is to reinvent myself with each of my paintings and dwell deeper in the understanding of the soul.
Amit Chatterjee hails from Belgavi, India. He studied B.Arch from the University School of Design, Mysore. He has been awarded the best artist Award in 2015 for his compositions. His employs pen and ink in his paintings and there is an aura of silhouettes in his works.
