Tanika Khandelwal's works surround a contemporary approach inspired by the insight derived from our popular female culture. For her, it is not about creating images that aesthetically pleases. It is about creating something that sparks emotion in both the creator and the viewer. She finds the women in her works accepting their bodies as nature intended them to be. With the way the figures hold themselves and gesture naked, they were honest to themselves and carry that equality across the world, all too often not dominated by the manipulative society. She finds the culture of dressing dividing women across the world binding them into customs and values. Through her works, she would like to set the women free without confining or classifying them by any culture, tradition, or race. For her, every woman is beautiful without any extensions and truly a creator of the world.
