Rutvi Vakharia carries a deep interest in spaces; that speak of stability and are compressed countless times. Her work emerges from the photographs she shoots of the old city, Bastars, and other areas with a particular interest in the architectural segments of the houses, buildings, and bazaars and how the walls and spaces have been abandoned or are in ruins and spark much about human existence in their past and their present. She narrates stories that are never told; of spaces that are intimately marked by the segments of time, of generations of families, the memories made, the connections built.
