About Ramesh Kher

Born on 23rd April 1950

For me nature is an artist, and more often than not, I believe she creates and then looks at it. My style of composition is similar. I let the brush lead me and absorb the strokes as they come and I would like to believe at the end I manage to create something different, something new and something close to mother nature. My work has a tonality of structural strength but in no way would I say my work is schematic in appearance.

Ramesh Kher hails from Madhya Pradesh. He has been a part of several group and solo shows which include venues such as the Jahangir Art Gallery, Mumbai. He has been awarded many a times for his works. His paintings have a strong tinge of defined shapes forming vital parts of the painting along with vibrant colours. Ramesh defines his artwork as an ‘imagination of nature’ because he recreates nature in his own beautiful and abstract form.
