After Rene Magritte

Here I am inspired revers Mermaid by the famous Rene Magrritte. She is depicted as half fish and half woman. The original mermaid fish's lower body is of a fish and the upprt body is of a woman, Magritte reverses the mermaid here the lower body of the merdaid is of a woman and the uppre body is of a fish. I used his revers mermaid to create some interest,
She is lying on the sea shore lovely. some passerby looks at this mermaid curiously . The artist wanted the best is both like the Matsyavatara the Mermaid lives in the water wanted to be like the people who travel on the sea. Because it is partly Indian theme I liked it and it is also related with sea oriented subject. As youth are attracted to woman mostly, naturally Icomposed on young man.

I am B. Padmaja, I am brought up in the city of destiny Visakhapatnam in A.P. The city is beautiful bordered with the blue sea on one side and rehiils on the other side with stretches along the shore like a nice piece of drapery. I use these things in my work.
About this work : woman have long been associated with nature, metaphorically as"mother Earth", it is rather a symbollic painting In the whole world the female is given utmost reverence and value, her power is immeasurable . She can go into the deep sea and swim like fish. In this way I imagined the power of woman.
