Ashvita Art Objects & Artifacts was started on October 18th 2002 by Ashvin Rajagopalan. Ashvin is a graduate of Pratt Institute, New York, USA. With a strong background in Art History and a passion for Fine Art, Ashvin Rajagopalan set up Ashvita with intentions to promote upcoming artists from South India.
The gallery is located in a heritage house of Chennai (the former residence of Dr. E V Kalyani). The house has been maintained as-is with only a few modifications to accommodate artwork. The house is surrounded by a beautiful garden.
The gallery space lends itself for all mediums of art from paintings to installations.
