A very different color palette, which is rich, is rustic red and brown. The forms look fantastical, folksy and grotesque at the same time. Doesn’t it look similar to the one encountered in dream, when grandmother’s tale is over. His painted forms seem to be pressed to the glass, as if encaged and pressed hard to its glass part of frame. So central part- where eye focuses falls flat, while other part has its proper volume and molding. Artist calls it couple. The forms are withered and flattened, same time, as if will melt away in fraction of moment. The other factor noticeable is it has certain element of animal world and human, both merging into one. Explicit sexuality adds another dimension. Indeed a metaphorical take to incomprehensible life.
