The work is in two panels, middle panel is 48x 50" and the side panel is 48x 24".
These paintings are an outcome of a long period of ill-health wherein I underwent a series of alternative treatments, some within the framework of accepted medical practice and others outside its purview.
Having been, a non believer, I was compelled to face the question of faith healing, of the power of the mind to enable the healing process and of the effect of love and strong determination in recovery of the body.
It was difficult and remains difficult to address this issue and I realize in retrospect that these first two works take a rather one sided view of the question given the fact that faith, in the society around me, has taken other uglier forms which cannot be ignored and remain to be addressed.
