Is collecting art an acquired skill??
The art of collecting art can be easy and is not as unfriendly as it appears to be. Collecting art is definately an aquired skill and any common eye can be trained over time to learn to not only understand but also appreciate art. Art that you understand need not necessarily be collected or owned it only opens your eye to seeing more. It broadens your horizon of learning ... constant viewing of art , ehxibition visits and reading about artists hepls you understandwhat the artist is wanting to portray.
While you want to collect you also need to put in effort to study and make time to attend shows. Also be open to understand if not own art that does not please you... most times its an insight into what lies within us!!
As is always said buy art that you can live with 24/7 .
Lets all own a bit of real soul!!
