Santosh Writeup
My works focus on the intense relationship between nature and we humans. I constantly focus of the pros and cons of this relationship. I generaly focus on certain issues pertaining with the current society and our perspectives to it.
In one of my works "Where is the Grass" I have worked on cow, the holy animal from which we gain so much but we hardly give back anything. I get touched when i see a cow lying beside dust bins almost eating anything on the road, garbage and living in extreme conditions. Are we so selfish that we cant even think of providing them something good in return for what it gives us? It is more or less of exploiting this animal. In this work i have inquired into this attitude of ours and have shown a cow vying in search of grass among buildings. Just to show the sort of pain and disbelief it goes through.
In one another work of mine i have shown a huge silencer and a cow running away from it. I have portrayed myself in it. Silencer depicts, pollution and noise. I have tried to show the pain a cow would have to face due to the emerging vehicles and pollution as afterall they also are animals and they also have a living.
My works generally focus on Nature and the sort of trouble we as humans are causing to it in its deterioration. I work on things that i see around me around the street and which teach me and enlighten me about the transformation that the world is undergoing.
Nature is my forte and i always try to look at it keenly and depict its dark side through my works. This quality of mine to question our own thoughts and behavior towards nature drives me ahead to work more in the days to come.
